Hello, friends!
Even though each collection stands on its own, you can be sure that there is also a previous collection it can pair with, too. Whether it is the colors, designs, or even the theme itself, Cocoa Daisy is always thinking about ways to bring a fresh collection to your doorstep, while also reinvigorating past collections you have stored away. Mixing and matching collection encourages you to shop your stash and use the beautiful kits to their fullest!
Natasha loves using the Simple Dori to inspire her mixing and matching of the collections.

When mixing and matching collections, I like to take apart my
Simple Dori Traveler Notebook. With the free pages, I can see the patterns and colors against other collections for easy matching. Think of your Simple Dori as a mini paper pad that you receive each month. At the end of the month, you could store the extra pages with previous
Simple Dori pages that look nice together. In this layout, I’m scrapping this lovely quote that was shared by a crafty friend via Instagram. I just loved the quote and wanted to document it! I find this almost like an act of meditation as I focus on the quote while I put the layout together.
Even though I have selected primarily flat pieces, I have torn the washi and paper to give my layout an organic and textured feel. I really love this look.
Karma loved mixing the Cactus Moon Collection with the Winter Twilight Collection.

As soon as I saw the Cactus Moon Collection indigo highlights, I immediately thought about how much I loved the stars in last year’s Winter Twilight Collection. I love how the kits often work so well with one another, so once the month is over, I can still pull elements out!
From the
Cactus Moon Collection, I used main theme stickers from the
Cactus Moon Daisy Weeks Sticker Kits, washi tape, date numbers from the
Cactus Moon Planner Add-On Kit, boxes, quotes, and cacti from the
Cactus Moon Planner Sticker Kit. I mixed it with elements from the
Winter Twilight Collection, including days of the week from the Winter Twilight Classified: Planner Kit, glitter star die cuts, glitter puffy star stickers, and star sticky notes.
I love to layer in my Hobonichi cousin – I used the stickers and Washi to hold in place the sticky note instead of using glue or adhesive. And look how perfect the colors blend together!!
I love how the patterns in these kits do not overwhelm one another – this spread is just a mood and the quotes leave me encouraged and motivated!
Here is a look at the spread after the pen. I love how it turned out!
Today, I’m showing you some lovely ways to mix and match elements from two separate kits. I am using memory-keeping kits from
Cactus Moon Collection and
Meadow Collection. The colors and embellishments complement each other so well! Another great item to mix and match from the kits is the stamps. A simple gray color creates a unified feel to stamping from multiple collections.
Here I cut a tag’s top to create a tab for my memory planner. Hold on to your tags – you never know when they will come in handy!
