Pepper | Using Daisy Dori for Monthly Social Media Challenges

Hi, this is Pepper, bringing you the next lesson in Week 2 of our Planner 102 class 🙂 I hope you are having a blast!

In today’s lesson, I’m sharing how I am using the Daisy Dori to follow a social media challenge. There are plenty of challenges available, here are just some that I know of 🙂

  • Creativemidorichallenge by Florence Antonette
  • Onebookjuly
  • Fatmumslim challenges
  • Listersgotalist by Cori the Reset Girl
  • Rockyourhandwriting by Boho Berry
  • 30 days of list

I like to follow the rockyourhandwriting challenge as I find it being a great journaling prompt as well as a good chance to practise your handwriting. I’m usually not very hard on myself, I will do it whenever I feel like it, and sometimes not following the days. It’s alright to do several prompts a day too. Or to have more than one interpretation of a prompt. I also like to use the calendar as a checklist, placing a sticker on the numbers corresponding to those prompts that I had completed.

Here is a video of my process.

Below are some sample pages. For the challenge on ‘Drills’, I did 3 pages of handwriting practise – one script font, one for non-script font, and another for practising my Korean writing.

I also use the stickers in the kit as ‘bullet points’. Very handy – functional and pretty to look at. I also try to keep things really simple because the focus here is really to write and learning to embrace my handwriting. Other than stickers, I only use washi tapes to embellish the pages.

Sometimes, for the fun of it, I will keep track of my current favourite washi tape designs.

Before I end off, I would like to give another tip. If you’re like me, trying and learning to embrace your handwriting, when you do your drills, you can add a date stamp to the page, so that when you look back at the pages, you will see your progress, or that you can observe the changes in your handwriting.

I hope you give a social media challenge a try and do that in your Daisy Dori. Stay tuned for more tomorrow. Also keep hanging around as we have more exciting lessons coming up next week.
